Welcome to Hinckley Canoe Club
Hinckley Canoe Club is a local canoeing and kayaking club which is based in Hinckley, and is run by a committee of eight like minded people who meet once a month. It has a good social side and is family orientated.
Every Wednesday the members meet at the training water to either teach or to be taught, or, just have a mess about on the water. At least once a month during the season there is a trip organised which caters for the different levels of canoeing.
It has a membership of approximately 50 people, ranging from 7 to over 60 years who all enjoy the sport, whether paddling or not.
It caters for all levels of the sport from complete novice to grade 4/5 water.
It has members who donate their time and knowledge of the sport to teach novices and encourage new members to paddle in a safe and enjoyable way.
We always welcome new members and can support them by lending out kit and boats until they are sure they like the sport and want to continue to succeed in reaching a good level of competence on the water.
